2026 Ride Calendar

Riding Regulations

The Alberta Randonneurs will be sponsoring Brevets for the 2026 season adhering to all of the ACP/Audax regulations, with participants incorporating the following additional rules.

  1. Riders must inform the ride coordinator, using the online registration system on the club website, at least two working days before their intended start date that they will be riding the event.
  2. Riders must ride as per the ACP/Audax rules.
  3. Riders must adhere to the planned event route, including start and end locations. In the event that the planned route does not match the actual route available, e.g., due to construction, etc., the rider may deviate using the most appropriate and safe alternative route while ensuring that the overall distance remains equal to or greater to the brevet official distance.
  4. Provide proof of adhering to the designated Brevet course by one of the following methods:
    1. Preferred: Submit a RWGPS or Strava link. Make sure that the settings for these tracks are PUBLIC/available to everyone. The above formats are the only two formats that will be accepted. GPS units can fail and riders should consider using option 2 as a backup plan. If your unit fails and you cannot prove your route passage you will not get credit for the ride.
    2. Take a selfie of themselves with an identifiable landmark at each control. Ensure that phone or camera time and date are set to Mountain Standard Time in order for the ride coordinators to accurately verify your arrival time. Recommended as back-up to a GPS track.
    3. Submit a brevet card. A completed brevet card is no longer required though.
  5. After the event email mwdawe at gmail dot com with the following details:
    • Status of your ride – DNS (Did not start), DNF (Did not finish), or Completed.
    • Date completed.
    • Total elapsed time (not just the moving time!).
    • Proof of ride completion – a public link to Strava or RWGPS.
  6. Ride safe!
